In Global South countries, civil society organisations (CSOs) play a vital role in preventing violence against children. CSOs are the foot soldiers, implementing and scaling interventions, and driving innovation. Yet, they are often excluded from decision-making and agenda-setting spaces.
High-level government commitments alone will not end violence against children. CSOs must be positioned as a fundamental and strategic partner. In the lead-up to the Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children in November, this webinar will demonstrate why CSOs are indispensable and how unequal power relations between governments, CSOs and multilateral agencies can be overcome.
